Well as you want your cat to go outdoors that really narrows it down as many pedigree breeds arent very suitable for an outdoor life, and are at an increased risk of being stolen.

Most pedigrees in rescue I would hazard a guess have been used to an indoor life as breeders only sell to indoor homes (although some people choose not to honour those)

So for your needs and for looking at rescues you will most likely be looking at at a mixed breed cat commonly referred to as a moggy

I was thinking that the Cat/Kitten would have a choice if it wanted to go outdoors or stay indoors. We wouldn't allow it out at night for a while as it will maybe get lost. I was looking at Holly Hedge shelter and they have a wide range of kittens and cats. There is one that I love the look of. She is a tortoiseshell. Tabby and white Domesticated short haired kitten. Although, she looks like she has specks of ginger in. I asked my parents if we can go look at her but they said that it will be a while until we get a kitten/cat because we've got a Hamster and it would put too much stress on the Hamster with a kitten/cat in the house. This leads me onto my next question, which I'm going to post on another Thread...( Please Don't Answer On This Thread, But On My Otehr One xx ) Can Cats live with small animals, hamsters, mice etc in the same area??

If she is a tortie she will have orange bits yep, and tabby means that her coloured bits will be stripey patterned as well as having the white
