Kitten Help AGAIN Please!

Hi
So I have had both my kittens checked and they are fine. They both use their litter trays (3 litter trays - 2 in their room and 1 in another) but one just seems to think he can pee anywhere! If he's in a room with no litter tray (even though the doors are open for him to make the short walk into the other room where the litter trays are) he finds a spot - usually on something like a towel on the floor or bubble wrap etc and squats and pees. Its not like he is marking his teritorry becuase these are not small pees they are big pees!
This morning they were both playing on our bed (whilst we were still in it, my OH and I) and peed right on the bed! It was too late before I noticed and ran down the stairs with him to put him in his litter tray, no the damage had been done and we were now laid under a big pool of pee!!!
Any help why the hell this kitten is doing this? The other one is fine and like I said BOTH kittens do use their litter tray too.
I am at my wits end with this kitty!

Sorry if I could help I would, but I just don`t know what you can do other than keep him in the room with the tray. And don`t let him out entil he has learned to use it fully.

Re: Kitten Help AGAIN Please!

Have you tried taking him to the vet? Litter box issues are, sometimes, an indication that a cat has a urinary tract infection.

Re: Kitten Help AGAIN Please!

It might be worth geting him checked by the vet just to rule out any UTI one of our boys used to squat where ever & when ever tried all sorts then went to the vets last & he had an infection

Re: Kitten Help AGAIN Please!

I hope you find a cure. I tried everything from strategically placed food bowls, more litter trays, Dap diffusers to serious prayers!! Nothing worked for my pee monster either though, I just learned to only have water proof furnishings and not leave any bags or clothing out. He also pooped where he liked too and it wasnt uncommon to get a book off a shelf and have dried cat poop fall on your head!!LOL
On a positive note I did finally manage to fully litter train Eric.....and it only took 4 years!!

Was he specifically checked for a urine infection ie urine test strip. It probably wouldnt show as a problem unless tested for.Kittens dont have time to go looking for litter trays ,so I would be inclined to have a lot of trays throughout the house and would even restrict access to rooms without.
