Hello all. I´m thinking of going away for a few days and I´ve gotten a friend to stay in my house while I´m away. However, last night I was a bit late and when I got back Merlin was extra clingy (he isn´t normally). Just wondering if he will suffer some kind of anxiety if I leave.

As you have a friend staying at your house Merlin has company there all the time so I would thing he will be okay for a few days

I know he will be cared for. I just don´t want him to feel abandoned, or scared etc. I know a lot of people leave thier cats, it´s just our first separation.

He should be fine, the main thing is that he is staying in his own environment which is a good thing.

We have been away a few times and left my OH's son looking after our hosue and the cats have been fine but very glad to see us when we get back home!

Going away for 2 weeks next month so not happy about leaving them but i need some sun!
