Red face Krazy Kitten

hi all!!
I have had cats but never a kitten before. Esme is nearly 3 months old and every night between the hours of about 11 and 2 she is crazy and is pouncing on everthing and climbing everywhere! it dosnt bother me coz she soooo funny but is this normal or should i be trying to put a stop to it? will she calm down or is this going to cause probs when she full grown? she pretty small at mo so when she climbs the nets and stuff they hold her weight but a full grown cat could get hurt?? please help coz if bad need to nip it in the bud!!
thanx

Re: Krazy Kitten

Totally typical kitten behaviour!!!! Nothing to worry about.

She will gradually calm down but will most likely be VERY playful until at least 18 months old. My Abby was a year old on Monday and still goes bananas but she needs lots of sleep to recover afterwards so we do get some peace and quiet.

Re: Krazy Kitten

My siamese kitten used to climb the curtains when she was little; I managed to stop her by replacing the curtains with blinds and forgoing net curtains! Nothing else worked, so good luck! I think every cat sees going-to-bed-time as THE time to play, it seems to be inate in every cat/kitten and is something that must just be endured. I think most do eventually accept that you are NOT going to get up and join in, and so adapt their routine so that they are more in tune with you - especially if you play with them a lot while you are there. Most importantly, enjoy the chaos!!
