Re: Advice Needed

Hi - a little late but I have read through the posts and wish you good luck.

You cannot just pick up any pet and then drop it again - any pet is a commitment and these kinds of people make me sick. I hope it doesn't come to this but if you do have to give them back, hand the bloody vet bills too and see how they like that!

I know you must be attached to them so fingers x'ed

Re: Advice Needed

You seem like a really responsible person, they were extremely lucky that you took on the kittens in the first place, and then that you didn't dump them in rescue when they said they were emigrating permanently. I think they have a real nerve to mess you about this way and obviously don't have the faintest idea of the commitment you need to make to own pets.

I hope the email you have sent is the end of it and they don't give you any more trouble, they really don't have any right to try and claim those kittens back now, especially after allowing you to pay so much for their care.

Lucky kittens to have come to you!

Re: Advice Needed

I would honestly just tell them how you feel. say that you are attached to them and they are attached to YOU. explain that you said about the money but it isn;t actually about the money and you consider these cats to be your babies now and couldn't part with them.

Honesty is the best policy and just tell you how you feel.

If you had not been good enough to take them in they would have had to have been rehomed anyway - they would have lost them.

At least they know they are loved.

Good luck - I wish you all the best xxxx

Re: Advice Needed

Just seen this aswell, if all documents are in your name then yes they do not have a leg to stand on x

You have proof they were moving on aswell so print off the emails too and keep them with all your paperwork - you then have a proper papertrail should you need it xx

good luck and i hope they just give up and realise it's them that messed this up and the kittens are now part of your family xxx

I am keeping my kittens - when I got home last night they must of known I was upset as they followed me everywhere and cuddled up all evening - there is no way I can part with them. I never thought about all their docs being in my name I guess that would help me if it came to a dispute.

I will keep you all posted of events and when I get organised I will post some photos of Bojangles and Princess for you all to see.

Once again thank you all so very much - I don't feel as upset now.

Moondance xx
Your kittens sound adorable Moondance - isnt it lovely when they can sense something is wrong and come and give you cuddles

We would definetly love to see pics of Bojangles (fab name by the way!) and Princess

Re: Advice Needed

Whole heartily agree with everyone, of course they should stay with you, I would imagine they have no rights to ownership afer all this time. Look forward to seeing pics. All the best you so obviously love them very much and they you.

catlover is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Advice Needed

i assume the cat is registered with the vet under your name, all the treatments you've paid for will be in your name, your address will be on their files. You can get receipts showing you've paid for the treatments.

They have no claim whatsoever, as someone else said go to citizens advice for extra back up, but you have nothing to worry about.
