LittlePixie is on a distinguished road
Whats the best pairing?

Girl with girl? Boy and girl?

I have a 9w old little girl, she was the last of the litter. I think she would benefit from a feline friend to play and snuggle up with. now obviously a litter mate isnt possible I wondered what the best pairing would be? A kitten her age or older? boy or girl? (Im not going to breed, Pixie will be neutered as soon as she is old enough)

Would male be likely to spray?

Re: Whats the best pairing?

neither of my boys spray - both neutered.

Have to say they are more loving than the girls but that's not allways the case I've heard - and both my girls are snuggly in the right circumstances.

It's entirely up to you basically

Re: Whats the best pairing?

I would personally get a male kitten roughly the same age, if you let me know which area you are in I post up some rescues in your area to try for a new kitten

Re: Whats the best pairing?

i`d definitely say male/female is the best pairing in my experience. i much prefer males tbh as they`re a lot more cuddly and less high strung than females, don`t get me wrong my female is great but my boy just loves his cuddles and he used to sleep curled right up to me before the dogs arrived but he still sneaks in now when they`re not looking

i would say 2 the same age since your kitten is still young and the sooner the better so it doesn`t give her time to get territorial - i think it`s always easier to introduce younger kittens to each other or if you have an older cat then they seem to take better to a younger kitten

My girl does the same as your boy I don't think it is gender related
