which breed best with cats?

Cornish rex or persian/ragdoll mix?
The cornish rex is used to kids but the ragdoll mix is not.

Re: which breed best with cats?

I dont get the question which breed is best with cats? do you mean getting along?

I wouldnt get a persian cross ragdoll unless both breeds are PKD tested, and I dont know much about cornish, what about a rescue?

Yes, I mean which breed is most inclined to get along with children.

I am looking for an adult cat as not in the kitten mood tbh Always been my cup of tea taking an older cat in that is in need of a home, feels like most kittens do find homes whereas more difficult for the older ones.

If its an adult cat then you would need to find one that has been around children before, a breed profile may say that x breed is good with children but if they have never been around them then I woild think it would take them a while to get used to them once they're adults.

Actually, ragdolls are quite good with children. They're a very placid.

Re: which breed best with cats?

Yes but if they are not used to them then it may still cause them stress and seeing as the OP would be the cats 3rd home in 18 months I think there may be some 'issues' that they would need to be willing to take on.

OP have you found this cat through a private seller ad? If so I would be very wary, they may be the type of people who will say what you want to hear to get rid of him. It may be best to speak to a rescue centre who could have a cat that is a better match for you.

I got my kitten when my son was 16 months old and he is fine with all his noise but the adult cats at Arnolds breeders were not ok with him, she had a ragdoll who hid the whole time we were there.
