help please,im all out of ideas

hi all,im sorry if this has been covered in another thread (i have looked, but couldn't find) i have 2 kittens 1 is nearly 5 months the other is 2 weeks younger, they have come from different litters so they are not realated, when i brought the younger one home she had an upset tummy,i thought it was because of change, however within a day or 2 she was all sorted and going to the loo normally,i think my older kitten might of picked up the bug the younger one had,i have tried changing food but that didn't work,i took her to the vets and the vet gave her some kind of injection gave me some food for her and wormed her £120 later she is no better,i have now started on the boiled chicken breast and rice and it still does'nt seem to be any better (less smelly but still the same form) im all out of ideas i dont know what else i can do.,i know she doesn't have a blockage of any kind because the vet checked her for that too.
can anyone recomend any kind of food i can put her on for sensitive tummys?
but at the same time it needs to be ok for the other kitten too.
i have always had dogs so this is a first time for me with cats, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thank you in advance.
paul.

Has the vet done fecal samples to rule any out parasites or bacteria? That would be your next step.

Sounds like you need to go back to the vets and have more tests done as there is no point in changing food and diet if it's medical.

Many things require multiple stool tests to be certain, one in particular has a very specific 3 day test I think...

I agree you kittens needs to go back to the vets for tests as it could have campylobacter or coronavirus which will not go away unless treated

Re: help please,im all out of ideas

Hi, sorry to hear your kittens have been having such a rough time of it.
My older kitten Honey had some stomach upsets over 3 weeks and in the end they took a stool sample and it took 4 days to come back. They tested for everything and thankfully it came back clear.

I have to admit even though Royal Canin doesnt score very highly on the a-z food list on here and rightly so for some of their foods.

I found their sensitive stomach dry and wet food and the same wet/dry in their gastro-intestinal food to be amazing. It really helped to balance and help her tummy and whenever i get any stomach upsets, out comes the plain boiled chicken and those foods.

Really recommend you see vet again to ask for further tests..if that comes back clear then it maybe a dietary thing...lots of things to investigate at this stage

Good luck and hope your kittens are well soon

Kelly xx
