Re: Kittens re homed :(

I am sorry you are missing you kittens. Whenever my foster kittens go to homes I always miss them loads but I think as long as you know that you gave them the best start in life you could and that they are going to be spoilt rotten in their new homes it feels sooo good.

I hand reared these babys from the brink of death i was told by the vets they wouldnt make it past a week old and i really dont think people should judge unless they are in the situation or a trained vet

I would like to add that the 2 babys went to my friends who live right by me and im in touch with them both everyday and both kittys are thriving in there new homes which im thrilled about

i appreciate people worrying but didnt gve the full history and that was my mistake

I hate to break it to you chuck, but really they were way too young to go.

Despite what the vets says they should ideally of had those last few weeks of important socialisation with their mum and siblings. The golden weeks are those from 8 -12 weeks.

Vets do not usually specialise in breeding hun. Any vet that tells you 6 or even 8 weeks is a fine age for rehoming definately has not specialised in breeding.

Such a sad thing to read

Did you tell all the new owners that they could bring the kittens back should there be any problems? Because the trouble with such young ones is that they do tend to scratch and bite more, and sometimes that's all the reason people need to dump their pets It's sad, but also true. At least if you offered to take them back at any time this wont happen

Have you now got the mum cat spayed?

Re: Kittens re homed :(

yes as i said before the mummy cat was preganant when rehomed her sadly the vets were great the spayed her for free as the c section cost me £600

the kittens are great im visiting them both today they live with 2 of my freiend by close by to my house and they update me on fb daily they are both doing great

and of course yes when they picked them up i gave strict instructions that anysign they were not happy or ready they were to be returned to mummy cat but they are both doing brilliantly and love there solid foods and water
