Hi all,

Just wanted to update you on my kitten rescue today. It feels like i have been in my car more today than out of it....but it was worth it

The owner of the kittens text me at 8 this morning to say that she was now going to charge £10 per kitten as she thought this would reassure her that anyone willing to pay that would guarantee them good home !!!

I told her that anyone willing to pay any money for a kitten that was 6 wks old and hadnt been properly litter trained, flead, wormed etc would be crazy and good luck advertising them.

I was praying that this would call her bluff...10 mins later..got a text to say i could pick them up

Got over there this afternoon and they were so very tiny but beautiful

Fed her my story about my friends mum having them ...resisted the temptation to tell her what a muppet she is and left.

It took about an hr to drive over to the rescue sanctuary and was a little worried about the black and white boy but got there in the end.

The sanctuary said straight away that the little boy was underweight and all three had bloated bellies (worms) but promised me they were in the right place and things would only get better for them now

Had a little cry handing them over. I told the sanctuary that i would call them alot to get updates !!!

Then my friend persuaded me to look around the cattery...bad idea..cried again after seeing the cats waiting for forever homes and reading their stories !! We then walked past the lovely dogs all shapes and sizes again waiting to be picked out by a loving family..that about just finished me off and told my friend we had to go

So hopefully these kittens futures will be brighter and i know it sounds dumb but i loved them even though i only had one cuddle and knew them only for an hour

Well done on rescuing them I would be like you and want to give everyone a home, but I can't. So don't feel bad at least you have given these beautiful kitties a chance in life and that makes you a special and loving person

I hope your feeling a little better now HM. When are you going to call to see how they are doing?

What little sweeties - I can see how hard it must have been for you to part with them I hope they will find loving homes soon and they will have you to thank for helping them along the way It doesn't sound in the least dumb that you loved them even in that short time - well done Hayley xx

to see how their first night went. Feel really emotional tonight about it but know what a fantastic sanctuary it is due to friends of mine having their cats from there, and knowing they are finally going to be looked after with the care they deserve

They have a waiting list for kittens so hopefully when they are old enough and fit and strong they will not have to wait too long before they find their forever home

Well done.I did worry when you said that these poor little souls had been put outside with mum that they may not have made it ,but ,thank god they have.Thank you for caring and for taking the time to rescue them.I hope that their mum,will in time be rescued from the horrible situation that she is in.It is so refreshing to read a" happy ending" story for a change.

Great news update about rescued kitties.
I rang the centre this morning to see how they were doing and
how their first night went. The manager told me they went straight to a foster home all together. A retired lady who volunteers for the centre fostering scheme took them an hr after I left. She will care for them until they are at the right age to rehome.

So happy for them.
