Re: What's your monthly spend on cat litter?

I use Pets @ homes wood pellets litter on 3 hooded trays. It lasts quite a while about 6 weeks and I change them completely about once a month.

Just out of interest, your cat goes out all day, what type of area do you live, in near main roads etc? I'm currently agonising over the decision whether to let mine out when the time comes?
We live in a cats paradise, a quiet cul de sac at front of house and also behind the back garden just houses and another cul de sac, so hardly any traffic. Not sure how I'd feel if we were on a busy road... I am having a 'taste' and smell of litter trays at the moment as looking after daughters 20 week old kitten for a fortnight, and its quite a 'smell-shock' as haven't done this #scoop of poo job# (lol) for 2 1/2 years !!

heres kitty-lola

AAAh that picture is adorable.I have a quiet cul de sac at the front and then fields at the back so hopefully fingers crossed they'll be ok...............obviously they could get to a main road eventually but would have a bit of a way to go.The rescue people who did my home check and are very knowledgeable about cats did approve me on the basis that they could go out. I'm still apprehensive about it though.

Re: What's your monthly spend on cat litter?

I have one deep filled tray shared by 2 cats, and I pay £27 for the 40l bag of Oko Plus from Zooplus which lasts ages... I would guess it works out around £7-8 per month. (Rarely needs a full change if I keep it full and scoop obsessively).
