Re: What collar?

Glad you found the collar. I have had to put a collar on my Sparky as he's free roaming and although microchipped feel this can be overlooked and just feel happier with him wearing one for lots of reasons. He often loses his too and I've even had a neighbour phoning me offering to return it silly me I said don't worry he has a new one.....I must have known I can always use another one as I always get an engraved tag attached.

I have found the best ones to date are the quick release ones and honestly don't mind replacing them although Sparky is pretty good these days about how long he keeps them!

Re: What collar?

I got a collar for Taz and a gorgeous engraved silver cat face tag with his name and our phone no on, but then took it off him when i read some posts on here about the dangers of them. He is chipped and so far has only ventured as far as the back garden, but wondered if he did go walk abouts and had no collar, if someone found him would they think he was homeless.

Re: What collar?

My eldest three cats won't wear collars as they have never been used to them but I put them on my youngest five even before they started going out. I get through a lot of collars as they are always losing them. It's frustrating but I am pleased in a way that they release so easily as I've seen cats with their legs caught in elastic collars - not nice.

I try to discourage them from hunting as they all have a bell on their collars but judging by the amount of mice 'presents' they keep bringing me that idea isn't working. I may have to put a cow bell on their collars next
