Got on my soap box today!

So an email comes through to the staff noticeboard...

'Five fluffy kittens for sale due to unplanned pregnancy.......etc etc.....ready at 7/8 weeks......etc etc.'

Out comes the soap box, off goes an email stating that 7/8 weeks is TOO YOUNG and could she please hang onto the kittens for at least another few weeks! Oh and I added on the end that she should probably get her cat spayed too!

Funnily enough I didn't get a reply......

WELL DONE YOU!!!!!!

I hope you hit the 'reply all' button so that everyone who received the original e-mail is now aware of the best age at which to take a kitten too.

Re: Got on my soap box today!

Noticeboard items come into a central inbox but I certainly did tell all my team lol...they think I am a little strange now.

The kittens were gorgeous (fluffy tabby's) and its such a shame that they will be so young - I'd take them all in but 1) hubby wouldn't be pleased and 2) I dont have £150 for all 5....

Re: Got on my soap box today!

My daughters kitten Lola who I am looking after for a fortnight is beautiful, a tabby with a spotty tummy and lovely colouring with white paws and streaks of ginger. The rest of the kittens in the litter were a grey tabby, a black, a black and white and a ginger. This was the 2 yr olds females 2nd or 3rd litter, the woman said 'every time i think of going to the vet to get her sterilised 'she's already pregnant'! Some people are poor carers, but perhaps the expense of the sterilisation puts them off, lets hope she gets the poor cat done asap..

Re: Got on my soap box today!

Well I have been put in my place (albeit it by a politely worded email response).

I must apologise to the lady who is so busy working in a veterinary surgery and looking after numerous other animals and kids, that she has no time to get her cat spayed.

And of course with all the expert advice on tap, she will be making the 'right' decision about how early to home her kittens....
