Cat carrier

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good folding fabric cat carrier? I've currently got a CatIt Cabrio but am finding it far too heavy, especially with the shoulder injury I've got at the minute...including Bayley it weighs over 8kg

Folding would be good cos space is limited

Thanx for any advice.

Re: Cat carrier

Is there any way that you can go to a cat show near you? There tend to be supply stalls aplenty that also sell different types of cat carriers. Like you, we quite liked the space saving aspect of the fabric/mesh foldable ones but when we inspected a couple they all had metally /sharpish plastic things coming up on the inside when popped up, which I would rather not have.

Re: Cat carrier

the only fabric folding one I've considered getting is this one

but I'd probably only put my girls who are quite small in it - it's not as roomy as the Cabrio

Re: Cat carrier

Hi,

I had a fabric carrier from P@H up until yesterday afternoon..... I'll explain in a sec..... we got it for £20 and it unzips either end so can be flattened a little..... after yesterday though I am rethinking the whole fabric carrier thing!

I liked it as it looked comfier than a plastic one and could be stored easier.... yesterday however I took Alfie to camp out at my mums due to the Doubleglazing being done..... 20 mins down the road he was sick int he carrier.... 5 mins from my mums house he went for a poo in it... poor alfie was soooooooooooooooooooo embarressed! we'd tried to get him to go before I set off but no luck... needless to say he and the carrier were covered in both smelly things! we bathed alfie and scrubbed out the carrier and put it out to dry... but unfortunatly we just couldn't get some of the mess off. The OH took one sniff and threw it in the bin.

Oh well gives me an excuse to go look on all the sites to find a new one... and bulk my order up to get free delivery. lol

Ems x

Re: Cat carrier

Hiya

I have the TCamp deluxe here

It is brilliant, and I have taken the outer canvas off and put it in the washing machine. Very strong and not too heavy. I like the fact that you can go in from the top or the front (handy if vets trips are needed)

Re: Cat carrier

I´m also looking for a cat carrier with wheels and a long handle (not like the baby pram, as then they would really label me the crazy cat lady). If anyone has something similar....
