Weight differences

Shadow weighs 2 Kgs more than Puss Puss and they love play fighting. Because of the weight differece Shadow is able to pin Puss Puss down and a lot of the time goes for the neck region. Although she yelps occasionally and I have to get him off her it doesn`t stop her having another go at him. I am concerned because Shadow is more powerfull than her and if I turn my back for too long she might get really hurt. This playing goes on for about 45 mins until I have to let her go back outside for the night
Anyway if these were your pets would you be concerned?

Re: Weight differences

no wouldn't be concerned - they are playing. If she was getting hurt there would be much more than a squeal or squeak and you would find fur and blood flying and a cat desperate to escape. I'd just let them be - this is a way that they socialise and sort out pecking order etc. I watch my three hare around the house doing this all together many a day. Squeak, sqeals, etc then they all settle down together for a sleep.

Re: Weight differences

Thanks for that spid. I am a little concerned as Shadow does tend to go OTT with her at times.
