Re: First time out on the harness :) *pics*
Lovely photos and it looks as if Jango really enjoyed it. Oscar and Wilbur were very still the first time I took them out too - think of all those smells, the noise, the breeze etc that they are feeling. No wonder they just stand and stare.
I have a garden so I tether my boys there with tent pegs and let them explore in their own way. At present they think ants are amazing. I use a 3m mini dog lead so they can wander where I can see them, although they are always under the bushes chasing each other. The neighbours make fun of me as they can only ever see my bum poking out of the bush whilst I try and untangle the leads ![]() Not sure where you would take Jango, as local parks tend to have dogs out on runs. Don't you have any smaller secured green space around you? |

![]() ![]() Kittehnom - we just walk round the garden or along our lane - quite rural and lots of interesting places to stop and sniff. There's a little culvert just across the road and I have to stop Mai Tai from going down there to explore ![]()

Re: First time out on the harness :) *pics*
sadly there are no secured green spaces as such where I live and alot of dogs in the local area
I have thought though that I might take him down the to artificial lake in our housing estate with his carrier and sit in the grass with him so that if any dogs come he has somewhere to hide/I have somewhere to put him. Do people think that would be okay or maybe not?For the moment we are just going to stick to the small grassy areas in the carpark as I think that in itself is quite overwhelming! as you say, lots of new smells and noises ![]() |
