How many beds does your cat have?

Where does your cat like sleeping? Biffy likes lying on a fleece blanket, or just the carpet, and today he has adopted an empty welly-carrier (its a sort of padded bag, smooth fabric). The faux-suede sofabed is also popular. At nighttime, I've tried offering his bed or blankets but he'll just lie next to them on the laminate flooring. He doesn't stay there though, not sure where he sleeps at night. He did arrive with a bed - I think I've seen him use it once!

How many beds per cat? Do you have several shop-bought beds per cat or just adapt to whatever your kitty decides makes a comfy surface? Does it change a lot through the year e.g. laminate floor maybe a summer thing? Do you know where your cat(s) spend the night? Do they always go for one spot or change about their Catdom?

Re: How many beds does your cat have?

We have one "proper" cat bed - neither of them actually sleep in it!

Lola's current favoured sleeping spot is a particular dining chair. She doesn't like to sleep on soft surfaces (with the exception of me!) and usually curls up somewhere that looks really hard and uncomfortable.

Darcy usually sleeps on my bed at night. In particularly hot weather he likes to stretch out on the tiled floor in the kitchen.

Re: How many beds does your cat have?

My cat seems to use one area for a while and then change it!
She has a radiator shelf bed which she used for months, but then she changed to on top of the dining table. She also has two cat fleece beds, one upstairs and one downstairs, but she doesn't seem to use either at the minute. She seems to prefer the end of our bed where she has slept for a wile, though over the past couple of weeks she seems to be sleeping half way down the stairs where there is a square return that she stretches out on, though she makes her way back up to the end of our bed for about the last couple of hours until we get up. I think this is to avoid the children when they get up!! She seems quite happy wherever she sleeps but changes her mind frequently !

Re: How many beds does your cat have?

Our bed
the childrens' beds
the dogs' beds
the sofas
the footrest
my favourite chair at the kitchen table (I'll get up for 2 seconds & *poof* from nowhere a cat appears)
one of 2 office chairs
any random piles of clean washing
inside the rats' cages on cleanout day (obviously not with the rats in there!)
Moonspell is also partial to pulling all the plastic bags out of the 'nook' in the kitchen & settling down in there
every now & then they actually sleep in one of the cat beds

Re: How many beds does your cat have?

my 3 are all different to some degree. Mc likes the large sofa and usually finds his way upstairs when it gets light. Cedes has a chair she uses during the day but at night will sleep either on the edge of our bed or the bed in youngest daughters room (shes away at uni). Malibu loves to lay in the lounge window until light when she comes and jumps on you

We do have 3 cat beds but i think they have only ever been sniffed over lol!

Aww, Biffy likes the laundry basket too, or a cardboard box if there is one to hand! He'll just jump in and have a snooze! One cat-to-go!

Re: How many beds does your cat have?

The latest cat bed craze in my house appears to be the cat grass tray.. It is well and truly flattened. Don't think they quite got the idea right!
