Yet another scratch

I have a lot of small scratches. Al courtesy of my cats. I have just been given another one. It is quite a long one though nothing serious. I am sitting on my favourite chair watching TV in my nightwear. (underpants and nothing else) Neo thought that it was a good idea t jump on my lap. As she jumped she lost her footing. She grabbed my thigh with her claw to stop herself falling. OUUUUCH. It could have been worse though. Her claw was only about half an inch from my manhood.eek:

Re: Yet another scratch

I used to have small scratches around my neck/chest where Oscar was trying to catch my necklace. He looks at it now but I just say "Oscar, No!" and he moves his eyes to something else.

Couldn't you trim their claws a little bit? It does make a difference to us humans when they jump up, miss their aim and dig in to hold on.

Mine climb up my thighs to get into my arms, and do that with trimmed claws too, but now it is less painful for me.

Just don't trim them if they go outside unaccompanied as they will need their sharp claws to defend themselves.

I could trim their claws but after 35+ years of owning cats (or rather them owning me) I am used to the scratches. It's just the occasional accidental ones that hurt.
