Re: Some people make me so mad!

She has just come back to say it is not microchipped nor does it have a collar, she says she opened the door this morning and he ran out and jumped the fence which i do not see how as the fences are a good 5 foot high.

My two couldn't even jump up to the bed at 12 weeks?

Re: Some people make me so mad!

Could technically happen, BUT its also not hard to keep a cat inside, despite what many seem to think...

Re: Some people make me so mad!

At 12 weeks I would be very surprised if it knew where 'home' was. The world is so huge. Hope little one is safe tonight and not scared and hiding and cold.

I was thinking the same thing? Why isn't she out there combing the streets looking for him. It's only 12 weeks old. It couldn't have gotten that far!

thats what I thought, she said that she openned the door and he run out and jumped a fence? (which also sounds odd to me as if my kittens were to run outside im pretty sure they would stand there in total shock and not know a fence wasthere to climb...!?) why didnt they put their shoes on and go pick him up??

I very much doubt he will find his way back, his hard enough when they are older and training them let alone a 12week old baby kitten, lets hope that someone finds him

LibraLass is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Some people make me so mad!

Sounds then that it escaped through carelessness rather than her 'letting it out', but even so it shouldn't of got far, and I would be out looking and not come back until I found it. Our vet told me as a first-cat owner not to let my kitten out until it had all its jabs, been microchipped and sterilised, all done around 6 months old, by then also had a coller with name tag on as well, so if got lost there was a good chance of her being returned,
This kitten has no coller, no chip and is very young. How sad.

Perhaps whoever found a cute little kitten like this has taken it for themselves, after all how would the finder know who it belonged too?

Re: Some people make me so mad!

The kitten is still missing i really hope some kind soul has found the little mite and given him a home.

I have had words with my friend and begged her if the kitten returned for her to pop down to the vets get it vaccinated and book it in to be snipped and check it is ok.

But as she is not looking for the kitten and is still under the impression it will return on its own even though i have told her several times i very much doubt he will i am going to guess the kitten will never see a vet.
