Re: Cat Outside on Leash Questions

just out of interest, you mentioned in your first msg that you have put a fence up. does this not secure them? if not what about enclosing the garden?

You are correct, it does help quite a bit. But we are still watching them at all times even though they are fenced up. Although not frequent we have had issues where other cats have jumped into the yard (5 feet high lol), and have gotten into fights with ours. One of our cats is also scared of the smallest things. So if the neighbors little boy is playing she'll run away as fast as she can and almost strangle herself to get free. And then when she gets caught onto a plant, watch out . Next door also owns a dog so we have to be careful of that as well.

But yes, I think that will have to be my solution. With a group of people a few houses away that constantly let their dog out without a leash, and a need to divert attention we'll have to let them outside in the fenced area alone a little more. We'll just have to keep an extra eye on them as well .

Re: Cat Outside on Leash Questions

you should be able to get info on the net. there is also a type of bracket to put onto fencing that will stop cats getting into your garden
