did anyone watch marley and me last night? i sobbed like a baby. Just wanted to share the last bit of dialogue in the film. its about a dog but i think it applies to all animals...

A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if your rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?

I cry every time I watch it, and I start crying at earlier and earlier points. It's pretty much from when they move house now

I love it and blub like a baby most of the way through...... right from the Moment surrounding the 1st baby (trying not to spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it) right up until the end!!!

I read the book before hand and that made me cry too

I cry at most films but I found this film to be the biggest load of dirge ever and it just annoyed me, so no I didn't watch it

The book is much much better than the film, I only finished reading it a few days ago so still fresh in my mind, he recalls all the funny things Marley did from being expelled from dog taining classes as a puppy, upwards to his old age. If you liked the film you will LOVE the book, have a read!

I saw this ages ago and misunderstood it enormously.

I saw an ad for a film with couple with big dog and Owen Wilson and assumed this meant comedy.

Boy was I wrong.

I bawled my eyes out

I watched that film on a plane - you could tell who was watching it - all the crying people in the cabin! (yes I cried too)

Haven't watched the film but it's a lovely book.

I agree that cats are far better than people. You do something wrong, they let you know and move on. They don't go on and on and on about mistakes, or criticise the one wrong you did in a thousand rights. Provide a safe environment, whatever size, and lots of love, and they appreciate it.

People, I will never understand!
