Tbh I wouldn't risk taking him into student accommodation, but that's just me. I'm sure he'll adjust.
Sheesh I hope it aint like that with me. I'm basically screwed for accommodation if I don't get the money :S

Re: Leaving cat with brother for a year? Opinions?

Why not leave him with your bro for a couple of days and then collect him. Then do the same again but for a bit longer. This way allowing both the cat & your bro to get used to each other in short bursts but also letting the cat know that you will come back for him.

Then, leave him with your bro when you go off to uni. See how the land lies in your student accomodation and, if it seems reasonable, collect your dude and take him to Uni with you.

Also, you're not going to be at Uni 24/7 for 10 months so there's nothing to stop you visiting him one weekend a month & also at holiday time.

Just some suggestions.......

Ooo thank you... I wouldn't be able to visit every single weekend (finances - and apparently it'd be hard to manage a job and the course) but I could visit at occassional weekends
