Re: Vicky Halls
I think I have the first three books that she did. The last one of those did not impress me at all and so I haven't bought any others after that.
I'm not very keen on the way she puts herself over. I don't like the way that she seems to indicate that one rule fits all cats and that all cats are pretty much the same. I am a big believer in a cats individuality and specific personality so we didn't 'see eye to eye' you could say. It's been a long time since I read her stuff so I can't recall exactly what it was that put me off. Some folks think she is great, others don't. That's the way life is. ![]()

I always get the feeling she wants people to make their cats fit her model rather than having a real interest in cat watching. Real behaviour problems require real individual solutions. |

I cant comment on Vicky Halls books as I have never read any.Books on cat/dog whatever behavior can only generalise, there is no "one size fits all" solution.I had a behaviourist's help with my Raggie and she spent an hour just watching him and how he reacted to certain situations. She then compiled a structured "plan" which dealt specifically with his issues. |
