I take a week off and come back to TEN pages of stuff to read and catch up on!!!!!! (That's 20 posts to a page btw & ONLY on Cat Chat so far!!!)

Have missed you all and am glad to be back. I hope y'all enjoyed the peace & quiet!!!

A quick update on life at Moggy Towers:

1. Oscar is finally buster collar free. He went up to the vets last week and had the emergency staples removed and the buster collar finally removed. He is now fairly chilled and seems to have adapted quite well. He's still a bit cautious around the other 2 but appears to be getting better a day at a time.

2. The integration of Abby into the household has come along very well. Last Sat & Sun saw Merson continuing to hiss & growl but on a MUCH lesser degree so we departed to Dublin on the Monday fairly confident that we would still have three cats when we got back. And I'm delighted to report that we did!!! 4 days by themselves seems to have worked some magic as there hasn't been a hiss out of Merson for over 24hrs - since we got back - and Abby now jumps ALL over him and he doesn't react at all!! Oscar is now being the grump and has had a few pops at her, the most recent being a few mins ago as I typed this. However, he soon backed off when she growled back at him!!!! I reckon the two of them will be sorted in another couple of weeks.

Abby is now busy trying to get Merson to play with her but he ain't having any of of it so if anyone can give her some tips on how to get him to join in with her, I'm sure she would be VERY grateful.
