It's also great that the carrier stays out all the time, so it's not much trouble to convince the Ari to enter the carrier for the trip to the vet.

The opening is wide so it's easy to put her if she's not in the mood (with one hand I lift her by her chest, with the other hand I support her her back and butt, put her inside belly up and back legs first, close the door. Done!).

And just other day my husband carried her around the house inside the carrier, without the door and she enjoyed the ride!

Fab! Its so attractive it would be fine to have in the living room as a cat bed, would go nicely with my decor
I sense July's wages are already being spent...

Re: Cat carriers for bigger cats

Prices for fabric crates seem reasonable from this supplier though I haven't done too much searching so there may be better around
Fabric Dog Crates
These do have a top opening as well as one in the end, something to check because not all do.

Re: Cat carriers for bigger cats

Didnt read all of the replies but we also bought the Hagen catit carrier for our two BSH kittens, loads of room and really handy as they have two small holders for food and water they were both pretty comfy and able to lie down and stand up and peer out which I think helped!
Our kittens have traveled 353 miles including across the water! :-)

Re: Cat carriers for bigger cats

I have to say if there's one part of the Cabrios that sways me, it's those food holders they have on them - although other than the journey back to ours, I can't think of any other reason we'd use them!

353 miles.. Wow, that makes my distance seem tiny! Was there any issues with them needing the toilet at all? I think that's my biggest fear! Also praying it's a cool day on both occasions, as I don't have air conditioning in my car.

Re: Cat carriers for bigger cats

get a couple of those crush n go icepacks you get for sports injuries and activate then wrap in a few layers of fleece so only cool not cold - place at back of carrier then their choice to lie on them or not
