Some light morning reading :(

So I am watching the Wright Stuff as I am feeling particularly cool and they asked the question, what is the record number of kittens born to one cat in its lifetime. So I decided to google it, and found a wonderful array of records which people are apparently proud of about their animals:

The Oldest Feline Mother
Kitty, owned by George Johnstone of Staffordshire, UK, gave birth to two kittens at the ripe old age of 30. During her life, Kitty produced a total of 218 kittens.

Awful

Most Kittens Produced by a Domestic Cat
By 1952, Dusty, a Tabby moggy from Texas had given birth to a total number of 420 kittens in her lifetime.

Again, awful.

His advice about introducing cats was rubbish! Said don't bother with feliway and it might be best to rehome one. Didnt actually give any advice on trying to introduce at all.

The rest of the animals I dont know anything about what he was saying so wasnt listening lol

bloody hell i can understand wild/ stray cats having this many after all its basic instinct to produce as many offspring as possible as many die in the wild, the fact that these cats seem to have owners that let this happen is just disgraceful

Exactly, and they kept count?? Clearly they knew about every single one, so horrible.

Its similar to the 'ugliest dog' or 'fattest pet' mentality, idiots who do these sort of things to their pets should be banned from caring for anything more than a plastic cactus
