Ragdoll kittens in paper

In today's Evening Echo the advert says
Rag doll Kittens 6 weeks old?????? Chocolate seal point?????? And lilac seal point??????? Mum and dad can be seen deposit secures £250 07747 850727
this sounds very much like the people I got my Bailey from I am as mad as hell as they dropped off the radar after advertising once more after I got Bailey when I got him the kittens were red and blue and it was supposed to be an accidental mating I should have known better I really hope that anyone who buys these kittens don't have the same problems I had poor Bailey was sick from day one please god let these little ones be healthy and their prospective owners have better luck than I did

Re: Ragdoll kittens in paper

Urgh BYB at their worst.

Chocs and lilacs are pretty new and rare aren't they in raggies? I know I saw a breeer website boasting their new lilac girl from new zealand. Not something I'd expect a BYB to have.

Also there is no such thing as a choc seal and a lilac seal, choc is a colour, so is lilac, you cant have that AND seal point. So they are talking rubbish.

Urgh.

Re: Ragdoll kittens in paper

I totally agree with you but a youngster who might look in the paper might not know and buy one and they are way too young as well I mean when I was young many many years ago we always got our kittens at 6 weeks but now we know better and I Learnt the hard way with Bailey but I would not have missed the year I had with my little for all the money in the world he was a real little darling and I still miss him dearly

Re: Ragdoll kittens in paper

Urgh, they're probably not even Ragdolls.

Chocolate and lilacs from English lines are very very rare, there are few breeders working on bringing them back and there have been a few litters that have produced chocolate and lilacs so far but no way would they be in the blimmin paper at 6 weeks old.

If anyone is looking at buying a chocolate or lilac ragdoll, ask for proof of DNA testing that the parents carry this gene.

Re: Ragdoll kittens in paper

Again I agree with you I wrote the advertisement as it was written in the paper my son phoned me and told me about them and I told him that they probably were not Ragdolls the colours they are stating do not exist i.e.chocolate seal and the lilac seal it is also in last nights paper which is why I have been able to write it word for word I am just worried someone will end up with heartache like I did I have Tiga now but I probably would not have done if it were not for my friend Chinablue I was terrified to get another Ragdoll after Bailey.

Re: Ragdoll kittens in paper

I think a lot of people assume that 'seal point' is the word you use for pointed, as the majority of points tends to be seal, like himmies etc. They prob havent got a bloody clue what colours they have. They won't be raggies.

I know I just hope the poor little nights are healthy. We cannot stop these people and it makes me sad I had the money to make sure Bailey was as comfortable as possible but what if someone didn't it does not bear thinking about. I would love to get another Raggie in time but my breeder Chris is not breeding them anymore she breeds Ragamuffins now so I have no idea where to look if I did decide to get another Raggie
