Re: Neutering Wilbur not quite as straight forward as expected
Aww your poor wee boy. I am sure he will take it all in his stride though as kittens recover so quickly from surgery. He will be fine and I bet you can't wait to cuddle him later.

Re: Neutering Wilbur not quite as straight forward as expected
Vet just called and told me Wilbur's removal went well too, but he has stitches under his belly. She said they had both eaten something and were sitting up, but dozy.
She said that kittens usually give an indication as to whether they will be fixated on their stitches, but he had ignored them so she doesn't think it will be a problem. She said stitches will be removed at their Day3 check up, but the other guy had said at the Day10 Check up, so I will have to wait and see what they think. I can collect them after 17.00 - can't wait! |

Awww bless him! I'm glad they're both eating and I bet you can't wait to bring them home now. I'm already dreading taking our two in.
Can't wait to get it over and done with to be honest!

Re: Neutering Wilbur not quite as straight forward as expected
The Furbies are safely home. Wilbur is bit less steady on his feet than Oscar and he has a shaved belly with 3 stitches. We were told to be careful in petting them and not to carry them with a hand under their bums tonight!
Nurse told us they had eaten and would probably not eat when they got home but to put food down. Well, they went straight for their dry bowl so I gave them a LK tub and they ate the whole thing in 10 minutes. And then went back for more dry. Talk about GA giving them the munchies ![]() They are happily playing though, and if cats could smile they would have been beaming when they recognised that they were home; their purr motors started before I even opened the carrier. Wilbur is not quite as into the games tonight, but they seem fine. First check up is on Monday and then stitches out on Friday. Also, the Vet showed me how to clip claws and the practice was selling LK on B4GOF offer so I stocked up a whole months supply. Feel so much better now.... |
