heavy duty cat scratcher

Help!

After buying jet and lilly a really nice cat tree from zooplus, they have used it once, and that was just the bed area.

We got scratchers and lilly adores them, jet had always been a bit wary although this morning have seen him use it, so im now looking down the road of good strong heavy duty scratcher with a base thats heavy and no chance of toppling over.

And relagating tree to cp for their open date on 20th aug.

Thanks for any ideas/pointers

Oh and have gone down the route of making one, - its on the "to do list" lol

Meeko has this one Big Foot Cat Scratcher by Karlie | Pets at Home and so far hasnt pulled it over using it as a scratcher, but, when using it as a launch pad/springboard he has toppled it .Mind you with his weight and speed there isnt much that he couldnt topple

Ditto the big foot. I have similar (looks the same size but doesn't have a foot ) Its HUGE. I never realised how big it would be but the cats love it. I've probably had it for almost 10 years now and its never toppled over once. MeMe, our latest addition loves it. She likes to sit on top of it as well as scratch the living daylights out of it

If you are looking for a stable cat tree Kalvin cat scratchers are strong I have one and he will make it smaller if you need also there is cat scratchers .com I had to have mine made smaller as it doubles as a stand for them to go up for their dinner as I have 2 dogs they have to be fed high up lol
