I have taken a look at some of these cat proof fences, but love the design of one of my client's (clients ideas are good research ). She has brought some green fencing on a roll from B & Q, bent it over so it faces inside and placed it on top of her existing fence. Its pretty cheap too.

She has rag doll cats by the way
That sounds pretty identical to be honest? I honestly think it's a brilliant idea and your cats would thank you too. The last thing they need is the stress of confrontation. Lots of people who really watch their cats seem to say they don't go far anyway, this is just ensuring that they don't accidentally meet that dog, or someone worse .
My neighbour lets her cat out all day, she just sits in my front garden wtching for when they come home so she can go in. If mine were out, they would fight. We had a hideous cat fight just over the fence last night, it sounded truly awful and upset all mine. If you know that you have a definite threat to their safety so close, then I don't see anything wrong at all in the garden option. With no other cats able to get in and spray and scent mark, they will be able to relax and truly enjoy it.

My thoughts exactly. I have been extra vigilent, ever since the 'dear old lady' -NOT! next door informed me her window cleaner had offered to bring his rottweiller around to "rip them apart" - lovely women

Oh, rt, lol, yea that is big. The run sounds nice. I know of a few breeders that have put metal brackets that are bent inwards spaced apart along the fence, then attached netting or chicken wire to it.
