Are you sure that she is a stray. How long was she hanging around before you took her in and have you put up flyers, contacted vets to have her scanned for a micro chip, rescue centres, neighbours ect to see if anyone recognises the cat.

Re: pregnant cat

keep her confined to the house - have you had it confirmed she's pregnant?

always keep 2 doors between her and outside if you are going out - ie if backdoor is in kitchen shut her out of the kitchen before going through door

Re: pregnant cat

How long have you had her ,and has she been kept indoors or been used to freedom. You will have to keep her confined now as you dont want her to disappear if she is pregnant. She may choose to have her kittens outdoors and that would be a real problem.

Re: pregnant cat

yes it was confirmed she was pregnant we have had her for about 8 weeks she was with us a week then came on heat, disappeared then became pregnant i think because she is used to wandering around outside she just wants to be out there...is it usual to feel the kittens moving at this stage?

Re: pregnant cat

yes normally can feel them now, sometimes you never feel them if they are packed in tight, but by 7weeks its normally obvious that they are in kittens plus if they are moving!
