Re: Furminator?
Hi, there have been a couple of threads on here lately about furminators, so if you do a search you might pick up a bit more info. I seem to remember someone saying that if you used it at a 90 degree angle to the coat, it removes loose hair, but can cut hair if used at the wrong angle. I don't know anything about showing, someone else might be able to answer that one.
I would use it outside though if possible, I used mine on my moggy, who has very thick fur, and it's amazing how much comes out. |

Re: Furminator?
I would stick to the slicker brush if you show hun. I think it takes a good couple of months (at least) for the coat to recover after a thorough going over with one, and really there's no point having one unless you're going to use it thoroughly.

Re: Furminator?
I use a furminator on our cat and it does not cut the hair, no matter how you use it (I've tried it on my OH's arm so I know for sure
) I don't find it really thins her coat, just sort of makes her a bit smoother, but then I don't show her. |
