Mine don't mind water either.

My cat Olle who recently passed away was the only cat i'd ever known to truely HATE water. He was terrified of it, no idea why.

He once fell in the bath whilst I was in it and you would not believe the scratches I had when he panicked trying to get out, the bath water turned red!

I still have a scar on my leg and one on my chest where he climbed up me to escape.

I don't think it is that they hate water, but more that they don't like being wet. Unlike a dog, they can,t shake it off.

Hydrophobia (the fear of water) is a sign of rabies and if I had a cat that was actually scared of water I would be concerned.

Its almost a zoo at home,but we love them all.

Monty and Dinah both love their water fountain. Sometimes the plug gets a bit warm so I switch it off and have caught Monty plunging his paw into the central hole, trying to find the water.

They haven't been allowed upstairs for long yet as I'm worried about the staircase but will look forward to sharing the bathroom with them.

Molly doesn't like water if she thinks I'm going to use it on her! But her favourite place to sit is on the corner of the bath when I'm in there

I now only ever have a lukewarm bath just in case she slips in!!

Mitzy LOVES water and we have hours of fun when I am watering the garden tubs. Her favourite however is to be outside playing in the rain after which she comes inside soggy, sodden and carrying mud all over her shaggy paws. This makes her so happy she then decides it is time for a love fest and spends the next half hour in a frenzy of purring and cuddles, climbing all over me and kissing my face. It is a good job she is cute as 11 pounds of muddy soggy cat makes quite a mess!

Loki likes to play with water, Indy will sit in it but look ticked off even though *he* climbed in, Mabel is resigned to it when having a bath but will play with running water and Gypsy will sit in it then gets angry cos she's wet

unlike dogs, cats generally don't have 'water repelling' coats so they get wet easy and stay wet, it doesn't shed the same way. Short way - cats are absorbant

haha awesome so cats don't mind water it's usually (not always) just the bathing in it? makes sence since kira doesnt mind splashing it around but as soon as she fall in shes very unhappy. thanks >.<
