Advice on pet modelling Please

Hi everyone, we have an adorable little kitten and also a Bassett hound cross cocker spaniel (looks exactly like a Bassett but he's a golden/ red colour) just wondering if anyone here has modelled their pets before like for catalogue or tv commercial Etc. I've looked at a couple of online modelling sites but slot of them seem to charge the earth just to sign up :/ I was wondering if anyone has any advice on finding cimps IRS who are looking for animal models or any websites, the kitten is a long haired little boy and he's ginger and fawn/mocha coloured tabby, quite unusual looking colours thank u xxx

I imagine those animals are trained to the hilt... I dont think its just a case of taking pics of a cute animal as most won't do what you tell them to

Re: Advice on pet modelling Please

I have Indy signed up with a small local photographers and to take him on they needed him to be able to:

sit on command
come when called
'stay'
lay down
be fully harness trained
do 'up'/'beg' for a treat
be happy having other people cuddle him

he's not had any jobs yet and his training is on the low end so not really expecting anything

don't know about how to do national work

Re: Advice on pet modelling Please

Indy is a cat So that list of things is for a cat.

With human modelling, I know its a con to pay upfront for things, I imagine its the same for animal modelling.

I honestly doubt theres much in it tbh...

Re: Advice on pet modelling Please

sorry forgot to say Indy is a cat - the black and white one in my picture

dogs need a *lot* more training than that lil list

*oops Gloworm beat me

I wouldn't pay up front - you should be able to get a 'test shoot' for free though obv pay if you want copies of the pictures
