flea treatment..

Midnight went to vets today had one of her vaccinations and as he checked her for flea it turned out that she had them (im guessing she had them before I got her) she had a flea collar on..
The vet used a liquid on back of neck to treat fleas...
I ran myself a bath and she fell into it does this mean that the treatment will no longer treat the fleas???
Can someone please advice me as I dont want her to have more and I dont want to get bit either
Thanks

Re: flea treatment..

just posted this elsewhere so Ill re-paste it here!

please do not buy flea things from the pet shop, only buy from the vets e.g.: strong hold / advocate / frontline.

other products can be highly dangerous and are only sold because they Can sell them

remeber that just doing the cat doesnt meant much fleas lay millions of eggs, you have to buy speical flea household (again the vets) and do the carpets and under sofas the entire house plus the cat, and all other animals in the house otherwise its a circle & they keep coming back.

if she fell in the bath it would have washed off, depends how long its been on as your not meant to wash for a good few days so id call the vet & ask also fleas collars dont work (as you have just found out ) and can cause all sorts of problems, flea gater on the neck, hair can fall out, cats become dsitress stratching, so obviously id never ever use or advise anyone use them

Re: flea treatment..

What time did she have the treatment and what time did she fall in the bath?

(also please dont use a flea collar, the spot ons are more than effective)
