Ive just been put in a awkward situation
Ive just had a phone call from my 20yr step son, dont get me wrong hes a nice enough lad, but he doesnt quite have the same standards as most of you or I!
Hes a bit of a jack the lad who likes his beer and usually lives in squallor. Well he has just asked me for one of my Siamese babies so he can breed off it!!!!!!!  eek:eek: I nearly choked as I let him know in no uncertain terms ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Then he tried the "well why not I will split the money with you" I do feel bad saying no but all I can say is Over my dead body

Well, having been in a situation where a family member had to be reported for animal neglect, all I can say is well done for putting your animal's welfare above appeasing family members. I'm afraid I wouldn't care if they were family or friends, if I didn't agree with their ethics then I'd tell them to jog on (probably not actually 'jog on', I'd be more polite........ probably
 )

Thanks guys for your supportive comments
Ive discussed with him amout vet fees, vaccinations, registrations etc etc etc and you no what he said "I'll have one as a pet then your cats are great." The amount of love, time, effort and not to mention the money, I could not condem one of my beautiful little darlings to a life in a house full of beer swilling, drug smoking louts again came the comment over my dead rotting corpse
