kitty missing first injections

When I get my new kitty mid august, I have a strong feeling she wont have had her first set of injections at 7 weeks, as her owner is disabled and I think she would want the new owners of the kittens to get injections done. I will be bringing her home at 9 to 10 weeks old. I want to ask does it matter if the first set of injections are done late ?

Re: kitty missing first injections

I wouldn't have thought so, ours were not vaccinated until later. The kittens were 10 weeks before we got them (re-homed) and it must have been a week or two before we started at the vets.

Phone the vet if you have any concerns.

No, it's fine - they will be okay - mine get done at 9 and 12 weeks.

Kittens are normally given their vaccinations at 9 and 12 weeks so there is no concern that they are not done, but,it would be much better for the kitten to have its vaccs and stay with mum till 12/13 weeks,as it is during this time that they learn their "manners" from mum and litter mates.Would the "breeder " not keep them a little longer even if it meant you and the other new owners paying the vet for the vaccs.
