lost cat - how do i help her sister?

hello

one of my cats ( spayed & chipped) has been missing for 2 weeks - i've followed most of the points on a sticky from this forum - if you are in this situation try it!

my garden has used litter - i've been refreshing it with her sister's litter & worn clothes
every night i put food in a cat carrier with more clothes, her sisters fur ( from combing) and a baby moniter - the neighbours cat ate it!

following advice from
Recovery Tips: Lost Cat Behavior | Missing Pet Partnership

my neighbours helped me search lots of the area late at night - checked the back of office buildings, bins, trees etc
i'm lucky theyre so nice - we share the garden, unwashed clothes and all!

and i'm following up on sightings from my lurid colour posters - not many, but one was very promising, but a week ago.

if i have missed anything - please let me know
Have rung env health - my council scans any pets from roadside, so luckily dont have to do this again

I still have her sister and she has lost a lot of confidence - she's staying in a lot, wants me in the garden with her, even cried when i was putting rubbish out & she couldnt see me. This is really not like her - shes eating normally again now

how can i help her? they are both a year old.

How sad, I wonder if the cat is locked in a shed or garage nearby?. Prehaps leaflet drop a few roads surrounding you asking people to check their outbuildings?

Re: lost cat - how do i help her sister?

There are loads of office buildings near me - all well used during the week, i've called outside them all during the night without reply (missing cat is very loud)
also left posters with the two sets of builders near where she was seen - couldnt enter to check myself

one sighting was more than 90% like her, across a main road
3 directions from my house are quiet roads ... i'm sure she hadnt crossed it before, she runs in when a loud car goes by, so maybe shes 'stuck' on the other side.

any advice on helping the sister?
