Exclamation stud cat

Hi

I have a 12 month old siamese cat ( Saffy ) she has just come into season and I would like her to have one litter of kittens, but all the breeders want a pedigree before they will allow their male's to breed with her. I did'nt have a pedigree with her so this is becoming a nightmare, can anyone help ?

Sorry, but thats how it should be. I'm afraid I would'nt let anyone use my stud unless the cat had papers and tests done

Re: stud cat

I agree, no pedigree and cat not on the active, no mating, the cat was obviously sold to you as a pet, and not for breeding.

Re: stud cat

Sorry but I don't think you'll find anyone with a pedigree stud who's willing to do this. You should at least have had pedigree papers for your kitten even if she was sold only as a pet. I have bought a kitten without papers before but wasn't too worried at the time as we had her speyed and only wanted her as a pet.

Re: stud cat

quite rignt - in GCCF at least, stud owners must not accept unregistered queens to stud, they could be subject to disciplinary action if they did.
