Feliway spray use?

I used it tonight, for Sticky's sake, and the difference in his demeanor is amazing.

I'm beating myself up for not using it before - entirely my fault but I'd never considered it (which is also my fault!).

My question now is - how can I use it to best effect for him?

How often?

How long?

Em
xx

Re: Feliway spray use?

Sorry Ive never used it as I spent the last year with a diffuser plugged in for Meeko, but I did notice a good reaction with felifriend which is used to spray on hands before handling a wary cat,(that doesnt answer your question though .If you feel the spray is helping it may be worth a try plugging in a diffuser(dont remember you saying whether you already do )I think the spray only has a temporary effect so you may need to spray a few times a day,but not sure.Havnt really been much help have I,

Re: Feliway spray use?

We have the Feliway plug in, and its fab. We brought it due to moving house and Lola wasn't very happy, she's now so much calmer and seems a lot happier x

Well Sticky has always been terrified of most things, because of his terrible start. He's not scared of other animals or me and he's been really accepting of Teeb. I just wondered what would happen if I sprayed a little bit on his bed and he was soooooo relaxed and purring and happy.

His fear is, for example, if anyone walks past the window, then he starts shaking and runs to me etc xxxx

Re: Feliway spray use?

Aww poor boy, Sooty would be happy to have helped another furry friend in need! I think the spray stays there for at least a few hours, I was advised to respray after 5 hours if needed. Maybe a diffuser would be best though? xxx

Re: Feliway spray use?

Hi , We swear by Feliway, its an amazing product, i know some knock it but i can only speak as i find and its worked so well for our boys, for travelling anywhere the spray form is great as you can spray a tiny amount onto the bed in there carry crate, for home use we use the plug in diffusers and i always say to others if you cat has the freedom of your house then one upstairs and one downstairs is always a great idea. they can be a little expensive from pet shops but you can save a few pounds by buying them on ebay. Good luck with your cats/kitten...........Chris

Re: Feliway spray use?

I think I'll get two of the diffusers when the spray runs out then (there was lots left though! Thank you Sooty xx)

And do as you advice, Raggs - one up and one down.

Thanks xxxx
