my baby

hi all
i am new to this i need some advice regarding my cat salem.about 7 weeks ago he started sneezing gave it a couple of days and it stopped then some swelling appeared near the bridge of his nose.i took him to the vets and they treated him for an abces soon as the antibiotic ran out it flared up.
the second time i took him back they suggested putting him to sleep or give him some tests we did the test which included xray radiography blood work and fine needle sample during this time waiting for the results he was fine they gave him a shot and metcam during this time he has been eating fine playing toilet habits all ok.
they then phoned me with the results which didnt come back with anything serious they could only say it was a severe infection and would have to try certain drugs i asked the vet was it life threatning he said no.10 days later it flared up again he was tired and fed up but eating etc ok. took him back again to find my vet wasnt working there anymore dont know why?i was greated by another vet who again didnt know what it is and said the next step would be a specialist which would cost me 2 grand. to start with its cost nealy 5 hundred up to now and of course i will pay what ever to get him right. just need some opinions something dont feel right to me maybe because i had an issue after he had a dental there and was gonna send him home with heart tablets he didnt need.any comments would be useful x

Re: my baby

If you're really not happy with the treatment being recieved there then seek a 2nd opinion. seems like no one really knows what the issue is so I'd find another vet who was more than willing to investigate... afterall it is you fur baby and you will be paying for treatment so you need to know you are doing th best for them.
good luck xx
