Still scan for a chip, if they have wandered then your local shops may not be local to the owner. You will surely be taking her in for a spay check, and vaccinations anyway so its very quick (and free) to scan whilst you are there

I still think Burmese and Siamese look very similar, you don't get very many CP mogs as its recessive so she may be some sort of Siamese/Burmese cross or she may be a stray pedigree, but definitely get her scanned and vet checked.

Re: very shy Bermese

a lot of indoor only cat owners (and roaming cat owners) don't like collars due to the risks so needs to be scanned by a vet, as has been mentioned they can roam many miles from home so she could still have a frantic owner out there somewhere

what colour is she?

I have had my Loki mistaken for a 'very badly bred' Burmese - he's half and mum was a mog

was amusing really - his dad was from near Cleethorpes and was found south of Doncaster - around 54 miles! (I actually checked the numbers now) so they can go a long way if they set their mind to it

she is dusky cream but the face shape is the same as your black one and she has brown stripes on the tail

Well I would just wait until she is comfortable with her new environment and then take her in

Loki is a 'pointed chocolate' apparently - dark brown body and black face/tail/legs - inherited from his dad

hope your girl settles soon... you named her?
