Litter box/Carrier

Hi all..

So.. What do you think:

Igloo Cat Litter Tray Loo Toilet Box 2-in-1 Carrier | Net Pet Shop

2 in 1? Carrier box and Litter box? Would it work for kitty? Or would they rather have 2 separate boxes?

Advice pleeeease x

Re: Litter box/Carrier

personally I think these are rediculous - you don't want your cat to learn to 'go' in their carrier - you'll end up at the vets in a right state!

also no matter how much I scrub my covered tray now it's 2 years old it has a faint 'eu de tray' about it - I don't want it in the car!

another downside - if your cat thinks it's going to get shut up and carted off when it goes for a wee - it may start 'going' in less appropriate places

Agree. I also think that they should be separate. That does look like a cute carrier though or a cute litter tray just probably not both

Re: Litter box/Carrier

I have that litter tray but use it solely as a litter tray, other than the inconvenience of having to clean it out every time you want to take kitty to the vets I also think it could make them very anxious about using the tray and lead to inappropriate toileting.

I agree with all that has been said. It could lead to inappropriate toileting, it just makes you wonder who designs these things. Do they not know cats???

Re: Litter box/Carrier

I think from memory it was actually designed by a St Martins College student as a project so would hazard a guess it was more about form than function

Re: Litter box/Carrier

I would only use a litter tray, before long cats will be using the toilet like in Meet the Fockers LOL LOL
