Must be mad!!

Hi all, haven't posted for a while, but thought I'd share this. We currently have 2 rescued cats and a 1 year old French Bulldog. Yesterday, my OH's mother came round with a picture of a cat that's been living in the storage shed of a local travel agent my OH's sister lives above.

My OH's sister and a lady at the travel agent have been feeding it for around 6 weeks now, they've even drawn up a rota for doing so . The cat has no micro chip (they took it to a local vet to be scanned) so no trace can be done. I'm not sure why they never contacted the RSPCA or somesuch but there you go. Anyway, after seeing the photo yesterday, we went round to see the cat in question. Its a young cat, probably 7-8 months, probably a female without looking too closely, and a lovely smokey grey colour with white socks, chest and some white on the face, georgous little thing.

I think you can guess what happened next!? Yep, back home, get cat crate, back to travel agents, retrieve cat!!!!

Off to the vets shorlty to get her checked out, Frontlined, Drontal etc. Assuming all is well, we want to give her the same loving home our other cats and dog enjoy, I think she's deserved it.

I think most people we know think we're nuts, but they're not animal lovers like we are.

Do you guys think we've done the right thing?

Thanks for reading, and pics to follow.

Honestly before taking ownership of the cat I would contact the RSPCA myself, local vets and petstores, animal warden etc to let them know 'a cat' has been found (dont give a description)
I would be wanting to do everything I could to find the cat its rightful owner before taking on ownership myself.
