Thumbs up Cats being "fixed" tomorrow morning

My 2 cats are to be neutered and spayed tomrrow morning.

Pretty nervous about doing so as i no there are risks involved with the ops. Even if it is a tiny risk, it has to happen to someone right?

Good to hear that this has been brought forward.Did you talk your vet round or go to another one,I assume your female isnt calling after all.Im sure they will be fine but, like us all, you will worry no matter what anyone says it is in the job description.

Re: Cats being "fixed" tomorrow morning

I went to another vet. its an hours walk there. So got to walk them there and then fetch them in afternoon.

4 hours excersice tomorrow

I told the vet she was beginning to call etc and she booked us in first thing. They will be confined away from other cats due to them not being completely vaccinated.

So hoping all will go to plan.

Re: Cats being "fixed" tomorrow morning

All operations are risk and of course you will worry but that said I'm sure your cats will be fine and running around before you know it. Wishing them both all the best for tomorrow x

Re: Cats being "fixed" tomorrow morning

Well done you for sorting this out so quickly.

I'm sure your babies will do just fine but I fully appreciate that none of us stop holding our breaths until we get the thumbs up from the vet.

Good luck but sorry about your big long walk...... No buses that could do even a bit of the journey...???

Working with the cats protection, our vet days are tuesday and thursday for neutering. In the whole 4 years of ferrying them to and from the vet, we havent lost a single kittie

Hi,

I was the same last week when my 2nd female kitty Indy was spayed.
It was all fine, you will worry regardless, thats human nature.

The hardest thing for me was trying not to freak out when Indy was hanging upside down from her cat tree playing...3 hrs after arriving back from her op eek:

Good luck

Kelly xx
