Advertising Kittens

Out of interest, where do people advertise their kittens to? Do you use your own website, word of mouth or classifieds on the net?

Re: Advertising Kittens

I only ask as I usually keep my eyes on a few of the free classified sites, but i recently read a thread where someone said they wouldnt advertise on a free site. What other sites are available?

Re: Advertising Kittens

I think a lot of people have a waiting list for their kittens through word of mouth, but many people will have their own breeders website and also probably advertise on a few of the most popular free online pet advertising sites.

Re: Advertising Kittens

I bought my kitten from an advert on Pets4homes but I think you need to be careful. Freeads site seemed to have several scammers on it - I reported a couple. If you're looking for a particular breed put it in a search engine like google. I did that and it came up with lots of links to breeders' websites as well as free sites. Good luck if you're looking for a kittie.

Re: Advertising Kittens

I'd rather buy from word of mouth BUT if i can have a good ole chat with the breeder (like i did wendy ) then i think as long as i saw the kittens and other's and do research on the breed i'd happily buy one that way xx
Im a bit dubious about free ad sites to be honest x

Re: Advertising Kittens

I often browse Pets4homes, Kittenlist and Breeders Online just to see how the kitten market is looking for my breed! However, I wouldn't do that in the future because of a bit of a bad experience...I would much rather buy from breeders that I know or that have been recommended to me.

I will advertise through word of mouth, on my website and also through the clubs that I have membership with.

Re: Advertising Kittens

i personally dont think you can beat recommendation from a person that has already bought a cat/kitten from a breeder.......when we were looking for our second ragdoll we visited lots of litters and its surprising how some just dont look after their cats/kittens.
