I think you will be surprised, they are young and cats in general are pretty good at getting on with things if it's for their own benefit Benji loves the garden already so doesn't mind me sticking the harness on. Barely even noticed it was on, apart from two flops

Re: Harness Training Updates

Ok, so took Misseye's advice and took them out directly in the garden with their harness. The first day for about 10 minutes. Wilbur tried really hard to stay upright and eventually managed to walk around like Oscar who was sniffing everything. He even managed a pounce at Oscar.

Yesterday I took them out again twice. First time was great; I had one lead, husband had the other. The second time I took them out alone which was for about 20 minutes. They sniffed, they saw another cat with no issues and all was going well until it was time to come inside. Houdini Wilbur managed to get out of the harness (including the clip lock) and in panic I dropped Oscars lead. Wilbur got scared when I called after him and he shot straight into the open patio door into the flat. Oscar had wandered off into a flower bed where I scooped him up and brought him back inside.

Bloody cats will age me a further 10 years to every 20 my son is doing already.

I have already reached 100!....will post photos when I manage to get my a*se into gear as there is a cute one of them kissing hello.
welshjet and missye87 like this.

Re: Harness Training Updates

Even though there was some drama..... ..... it sounds lke them being outside made them pretty much ignore the harnesses!
