I know....scary!

When you get so distracted with cat cuddling that your OH, who is talking to you on the phone, thinks you've gone to sleep and you don't even realise he's waiting on a reply.

When you buy the bear minimum of food and drink to survive, then go and blow all that you've saved on essentials like cat treats, a new toy to add to the million they have already, etc.

When you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed because for once you've had an unbroken night of sleep, then barrel out of bed in a cold sweat wondering if the cat has died or something because they didn't come and walk across your face fifteen times that night, then sit on your chest, then scream in your face because you dared to sleep and ignore them when they so obviously need a cuddle.

When your living room carpet is more toys than carpet.

When cat hair becomes a fashion accessory rather than something to worry about.

When friends ask, "So how is she?" As though she's a close family member. Cudos if they ask about the cat before the OH.

When the rest of the family waits in expectation of the birth of kittens with just as much excitement as if they were human babies!

...My girl's due on Monday, and my granny's forever phoning me and saying, "So, am I a great, great granny yet? Did you get the blankets I sent for the babies?"... Well, at least I'm not alone!

My mum lives abroad and stays with me when in London to visit the family now calls to say she misses the cats and is looking forward to seeing them and she previously really did not like cats

I get some new cat food for the master of the house to try out. But then looks at me, as to say: "What is this you giving me??? You know I don't eat this!!! I want the food I normally eat please".

Lol! My Mom refers to her cat as my brother, who is then "uncle" to my cats

when you are miaowing at your cat like you are in pain because he's just scratched you and your other cat comes over and tries to kiss it better

Is it normal to get stressed when you leave a kitten alone in the warm lounge with everything closed up, when you go to work?
