BSH neck size!!! can you help?!

Hiya,

I have a customer who has just ordered 3 collars from me, and we are trying to decide what size I should make them (normal size of 20-30 cm or a slightly smaller custom size).
They are for her three new BSH kittens who are coming to live with her in a couple of weeks, when they will be 13 weeks old. I said I'd ask on here for advice as I've never had kittens nor BSH cats.
I just wondered if anyone had any BSH cats or kittens (TB?) handy that they could measure the necks of for me?! I usually measure with a finger or 2 in between collar and neck, a strip of paper is useful if you don't have an existing collar or flexible measuring tape.
They don't have to be 13 weeks old (although great if they are around that age!), any age will do. Also can anyone tell me how much they weigh at that age?

Thanks very much for your help!

(I have given her my usual spiel about kittens not breaking the buckle when they are young but that usually by the time they have got used to the collars inside, under supervision, and are old enough to go outside (if they do go out), they are big/heavy enough.)

Re: BSH neck size!!! can you help?!

just bumping - Promise I'll only do it once.
If anyone can help with this, i'd be really grateful. Even the neck size of an adult BSH would be helpful; I'm guessing it's larger than a "standard" moggie but don't really know.
Thanks.

some bsh are quite heavy set and chunky. Others arent so much . Its hard to get a correct size. Id get her to measure them just to make sure.

Re: BSH neck size!!! can you help?!

Well the problem is that the kittens aren't arriving for a couple of weeks and she has already paid for the collars.
I think I will send her the normal size ones and offer to exchange them if they are really too loose. I'm sure it wouldn't take them long to grow into them.
Thanks anyway!

Not sure whether you remember but I bought a couple of collars from you. They were for Lila - my little BSH and they fit her well even when she was still a 6 or so month old kitten.

Of course I remember, you were my very first customer!! That's useful to know, I didn't realise she was a kitten then. Thanks Hobbs!

(What a shame, that I have had to spend a good half hour on Youtube this evening, looking at cute videos of BSH kittens. Purely for business research, you understand...)
