Re: Broody for kittens

I'm always broody for kittens. There's the most delightful crèche of feral kittens in the barn over the way from me, and there are at least 2 I've got my eye on. Alas, this is an absolute no-no, since my elderly Misi has been brilliant at accepting Simba, our kitten. Another just wouldn't be fair, even if it did divert Simba's attention away from Misi's tail!

Re: Broody for kittens

Aw he is lovely.

I got two kittens together as everyone I know who owns cats got one cat and then ended up getting another and the lovely forum members of this site explained the benefits of two cats from the same litter.

If I hadn't I am not sure if I would have got another kitten at a later stage in case of rejection but it totally depends on Eric's personality really. He may really love another cat or he may ignore it and learn to tolerate it.

Re: Broody for kittens

I'm still undecided on how Eric would react, he loves attention so I suspect he would be very jealous. He's quite nervous with other cats but hasn't really had many encounters with them.

why arent you looking at my ragdoll kitten pictures then?!

thread on here, last chance to see them!

Ragdoll Kittens Pictures, last chance to see them!

I wouldnt worry to much about intrductions, most kittens are bonded and love attaention and never meet another kitten as obviously they cant go outside until after neuter about 10-12months of age. just take it VERY slow & get a kitten with the same personality as him

Hi hun....good to see Eric is getting on so well

I felt the same about Honey..she was our baby and so spoilt and given so much love and affection.

I really did think about another kitten for so long..not wanting to ruin our relationship with Honey. However we got Indy and after a stressful week she settled in.

Now when i see them playing and washing each other and cuddling up i know we made the right choice.

With them both being indoor cats..i feel less guilty when we are out of the house.

I dont think there is a wrong or right choice

Eric will be fine either way

ERIC!!!!!!!!!!

You've got the thing for another cat now hun, it won't go away....... No sireeeeeee!!!!

Eric is still young enough to adapt to another cat coming along and I think you might find a girlie cat easier to introduce. I am introducing at the moment and my boys are ANCIENT compared to Eric. However, things are progressing well albeit slowly so I think you'll be ok. Just follow the guidelines and you should be successful.
